What is Spiritual Psychology?
Spiritual Psychology, as taught at the University of Santa Monica, is an experiential approach rooted in the belief that we are Souls experiencing life as humans. It views any challenge or disturbance to our peace as a powerful opportunity for growth and healing. At its core, it’s about uncovering the truth of who we really are and discovering the deeper purpose we are here to fulfill.
Spiritual Psychology includes the following theories and techniques:
Fritz Perls' Gestalt Therapy,
Carl Rogers' Person-Centered Approach,
Albert Ellis' Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and
Roberto Assagioli's Psychosynthesis
